Choosing a Major

With so many majors available at UF, choosing a major can be a challenge. Your academic adviser will encourage you to choose a major that relates to your personal interests and abilities.  In addition to consulting with your adviser and professors, you can research majors and careers using Career Resource Center resources like the MyPlan Web site and online career indexes, such as the Occupational Outlook Handbook.

To change your major, you must see an academic adviser in the college that oversees the major you are interested in.  Your adviser can also help you add a minor and provide information on double majors, dual, and combined degree programs.
