Academic advising in the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences (CALS) is provided by college faculty. Each major has at least one undergraduate coordinator and undergraduate faculty adviser.

The Warrington College of Business Administration has two separate advising offices: the Fisher School of Accounting advises accounting students and the School of Business advises all other business majors.

On campus business majors are advised by professional academic advisers in a centralized office, freshman through senior year. Students are assigned to an academic adviser based on their major. Off campus, distance learning students who are enrolled in the Online Business Program are advised by a designated team of advisers. The school's study abroad advisers work with all UF students who are interested in School of Business study abroad or exchange programs.  All advisers are available by appointment, on a walk-in basis, via e-mail, and the Web.

The College of Education has a formal process of selective admission to our upper-division teacher education program as a student transitions in to the junior year.  Prior to candidacy, the Student Services office is the primary advising contact. After admission, a faculty adviser is assigned to each student, and Student Services becomes a secondary advising contact.  The Student Services office also provides education minors with advising and general teacher certification advising for non-ED students.

Students in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS) are advised by the Academic Advising Center (AAC), a centralized office with a team of professional academic advisors. CLAS majors are not assigned to an academic adviser, but can request a specific adviser. Students also receive advice from their major/department on major-specific questions. Biology, Zoology, and Botany departmental advising is conducted by designated AAC advisors (see below).

In addition, the Academic Advising Center also advises all UF students who are exploratory, pre-health, pre-law, or in the first year of the AIM program.  All AAC advisers advise exploratory students. Designated AAC advisers advise pre-health, pre-law, and AIM students.

The AAC provides advising services primarily on a walk-in basis from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays, although appointments, e-mail, and phone advising services are also available.
